Making car shopping easier is an idea I would like to proceed further with the use of new media. A car is the biggest purchase of someone's life aside from their house. This purchase is often the hardest purchase to make for an individual. Online car shopping has been on the market for years and there is a handful of them out there. One major issue with car shopping is sellers are always implicit, which is the norm of the business. Being implicit creates tons of confusion for the buyer and end up making a purchase that they shouldn't have and by the time they realize it is too late to go back and it is extremely profitable for the sellers.

My idea is to create an online marketplace/mobile app where cars listed on the marketplace will be all put up by employees of the marketplace and all relative information regarding each vehicle will explicitly be written for the buyers. Also, this will be an open market meaning all sellers and buyer are able to communicate using the marketplace message feature. In addition, buyers are able to take advantage of the bidding feature where all sellers are notified regarding the buyer's needs and responds accordingly to a public message board. In the end, the buyer will choose the best offer. This marketplace will have no restrictions, it is solely built to help buyers and sellers, who are willing to comply. This marketplace will also have a beware section, this is where users can help others making the purchase, providing tips and also complain about sellers outside of the marketplace. The marketplace will then represent the buyer and file a complaint against the seller. I have a personal insight into this business and sellers are strictly pushing for sales with lies, this marketplace will help young adults make a better decision and stay away from these sellers.
